I'm an ex-lawyer and businessman who became a stand-up comedian on a whim in 1992. After seven terrifying gigs in the back rooms of pubs, I took part in a heat of the Hackney Empire New Act of the Year competition, peddling a few impressions and very few jokes yet somehow made the final. From there, I started gigging regularly around the London circuit and was soon doing impressions on shows like The Game's Up on BBC Radio 5, Dead Ringers and Week Ending (Radio 4). TV work included, ahem, two appearances on Celebrity Squares as well as some good shows. I 'retired' from stand up many years ago but have continued with my work as a voiceover artist, providing voices for commercials, documentaries, animations, promos and a range of other projects. I was the voice of Land Rover for 7 years.
